Welcome to Seagate

We are thrilled you’re here, and we hope you take time to explore this website to learn about all the benefits you can now use.

First Things First

You must enroll yourself and your eligible family members within 31 days of your first day of work. Please be prepared to upload documentation to verify your dependent's eligibility for benefits. If you do not wish to enroll in a medical plan or the 401(k) Plan, you must actively opt out of coverage. If you do not opt out, you will be enrolled in the default coverage described below. The following is a list of benefit plans available:

  • Medical, Pharmacy, Dental and Vision
  • Employee Assistance Program – You are automatically enrolled in this benefit even if you do not enroll in a medical plan.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • 401(k) – Please note that this plan automatically enrolls you after 60 days, and enrollment is handled via Fidelity. However, you should enroll as soon as possible once you are hired.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • Legal Plan – Please note that enrollment is through the single-sign-on YouDecide website, accessible on the Seagate intranet.
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Supplemental Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
  • Supplemental Short-Term Disability (STD)
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD)
  • Long Term Care Insurance – Special enrollment instructions apply.

Have you made 401(k) contributions to other employer plans this year?

To ensure that you do not exceed annual IRS 401(k) contribution limits, you must submit a Prior 401(k) Contributions Form to Seagate Payroll.

What Are the Default Options?

To make sure no one misses out on essential health and financial insurance, we’ll automatically enroll you in the following plans unless you make another choice or actively opt out of coverage:

  • Medical: High Deductible Health (HDHP) with no dependent coverage
  • 401(k) Plan: You will be enrolled in the plan at 6% contribution level after 60 days of employment. To opt out or to select a different contribution level, visit 401k.com.
  • Short-Term Disability (STD): Seagate-paid premium, which means the benefits are taxable
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD): Seagate-paid premium, which means the benefits are taxable

Making Your Benefit Elections

When you’re ready, make your benefit elections, follow these directions to enroll within 31 days of your hire date:

  • Log in to my.seagate.com.
  • Select HR Services > Fast Access > US Benefits Enrollment/Changes.
  • Click on Enroll Now!
  • Select Elect or Decline for each benefit election choice.
  • Upload verification eligibility documents for each dependent you are enrolling.
